God will NOT give up on you!

1 Corinthians 1:3-9

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus.  For in him you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge— God thus confirming our testimony about Christ among you.  Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.  He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.  God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Isn't it comforting to know that no matter what, God will not forsake you OR give up on you?  Think about it, we often give up on people who take longer than 3 days and 2 hours to get it together!  We shake our heads and sigh and then walk away.  But God will not do that to you!  No matter how long it takes you to conform and transform, as long as you are still trying, still pressing, still desiring the image of God, God will wait for you!

I thank God for everyone who has been adopted into God's family, I thank God for your witness and your light in this dark earth.  Although none of us are perfect, I thank God for the journey of becoming more like Him that we are on.  And no matter where your present mile marker is placed on this holiness highway, just remember, God is faithful to make sure you reach your expected end!

To God Be The Glory

The weeks of Advent remind us to set aside some time during the holiday season to reflect on our faith. The Bible readings we will read echo the Advent themes of waiting, preparation, hope, and the coming of the promised Messiah.
